Interview Series - Luna Roulette

The most important thing is to show yourself, to be creative, because I am a creative person. This is probably my favorite thing about my work- creativity and expressing myself. I like to try on different images on, explore secret desires to reveal in my videos. My former profession was also creative, as was my education and my partner's.

The first one... isn’t really a problem, it's more of a disappointment that society can't accept the porn industry as a normal job. Some people, but again not all, think that if I'm a porn actress, it means that I'm a whore. In addition to being rude, it’s also untrue. I’m a very humble person in life, and you can't recognize me if I'm just walking down the street.

The second frustration or challenge was learning to accept myself, including my complexes. What I once thought was, "Oh my God, this is not right in me, this is bad in me," I have come to accept through work and that process has been good for me. One small problem with my work is that I sometimes must hide my work. This makes it difficult to befriend new people. Sometimes I don't even try since you don't know how a person will handle the fact that I'm a porn actress.

I shoot all the time with my partner. I also went on tour once for some professional shoots. And, for example, I did three scenes with Pierre Woodman, but they haven't all come out yet.

I would love to work with the biggest names in porn. Currently, I've only managed to work a little bit in professional shoots. But in the future, I hope that I’ll continue to be successful. Doing a shoot for Brazzers is one such dream, or maybe a goal. To complete a scene with professional actors, those who really know their profession well, to learn something new. I think if you want to be the best, you should study from the very best.

The only such situation that I didn't like very much was when my former social circle found out about my job. This news naturally went out to everyone I know. I have my private Instagram account, where it’s just my immediate family and closest friends, literally 40-50 people. One not-so-nice woman, when she found out, took screenshots of my personal photos that I wouldn't want to be made public. They were just pictures of my family shared only with my family and very closest friends. She began sending these screenshots out to others, and by mistake, she also sent them to me. I asked: "What is this?" And she started listing excuses, but I already understood everything and blocked her. It's a real betrayal when you treat someone well and then this happens.

My advice? If you're going into this profession, get your social media ready early. If you don't want any pictures to be available to everyone - clean them up. Or close your social media accounts. And, of course, have people around you that you trust. Who can then support you. Because half or maybe more than half of the people you know, will disappear from your life when they hear about your work.

First of all, we try to shoot high-quality, interesting content. I think this is the most important thing that will help attract new people. Viewers who’ve watched the earlier videos come back in order to see what's going to be in the new video. And new fans will come to your content as your popularity grows and your videos are watched and shared online.

The overall key here is to shoot something interesting and beautiful while keeping the video and audio quality high.
Also, social media increases your online presence and activity. There's Instagram, there's Twitter, and a little bit of Telegram. But mostly it's Instagram.

Since I work in the porn industry, I understand that it would be ideal for me to live and work in the USA. I would like to try to work and live there. I really hope to be able to do that in the future. We chose Serbia from among the list of very few countries open to accepting immigrants from Russia. So far we feel good here, and we like it. We are very grateful to Serbia for its hospitality.

My regular partner is my spouse, Tonny Weber. He and I have been making videos together for a few years now. Naturally, he helps me. I only had one professional trip and I traveled alone, but we were constantly in touch and he supported me. He consistently helps me in my work - I'll even say it's more his merit than mine: our whole channel, all our content, he is constantly learning, and he has a big responsibility. I'm engaged in developing scripts, preparing props, costumes, preparing locations, and I like to do this. And he is already engaged in shooting, editing, posting our content. Also, for some of our videos he writes music and does voice-overs himself because he's a musician.

Basically, at all stages of our production we consult each other. Even if it’s some aspect of the work that’s the other partner’s responsibility, we still consult with each other. He even consults with me on technical aspects, "Is this okay... color, light correction...?"

I like the phrase, "If I'm walking down the street and a dog barks at me, I don't get down on all fours and start barking back at him”. Likewise with trolls. We don't fight in any way, we just ignore or ban. Constructive criticism I'm willing to take, but when people come just to insult, no, goodbye, just ignore.

When we shoot first-person POV videos, I like to talk to the camera. I worked on webcams before, and I'm used to it. I like to talk to the viewer so they can catch a spark with me. And of course, I connect with my fans on social media, responding to messages and comments. I also communicate with supporters on Instagram and on Fansly too.

I love all my fans. I love you! Because my fans always support me and motivate me to make better videos and more. And I communicate with them on direct Instagram and we can talk, wish each other happy holidays, we can talk about the weather, business, health, what's going on in life.

I’ve had one fan who’s supported me since I was working on webcams. He believed in me, and our relationship grew from webcam to friendship. Now he is my best friend. He's from New York and we talk all the time. My spouse communicates with him too, he's just our family friend and we've been friends for 6 years.

No, I cannot recommend going into this profession. Each person has to determine and decide whether to enter this field. It’s necessary to consider many factors. On the plus side: you will still be loved in any case, though not by everyone. On the downside: there will still be haters. On the plus side, a good income. But on the minus side – in order to get to a good income, you’ve got to work hard and try your best consistently. It’s a lot of hard work, and you may not be rewarded right away for it.

The biggest risk in this job is the health risk. Always get tested. If you take part in professional shoots, or if you do any collaborations, take all of the available tests and be sure to check the test results of your partners who will be with you in the shoot. Be vigilant.

Once upon a time, about 7 or 8 years ago, we tried making a video. We set the phone up on a stack of books and shot ourselves. I watched it and said, "Please put that video away and let's never try doing that or watching it again."

And then came the rise of webcams, which I worked in for a long time, but then I realized that this job wasn't bringing me the level of enjoyment and income that would satisfy me. And most importantly, I couldn't unleash my creativity. Some webcam models get to be creative, but it didn't work for me. After a few years, we started making videos and posting them on Pornhub, which is how we came to porn.

At that point, I couldn't imagine that I would be shooting in a very professional environment with popular studios and partners. I thought I would only be with my partner. But over time my desires changed and now I have bigger goals.

The most important thing is to find your thing, your zest. And do what you do best. When we started out, we tried different things, looking for ourselves. Now we know what we like to do - not just making videos of us fucking on camera, but also by creating unique stories and adding humor to our videos. Not every video is a masterpiece, but we try to learn and to improve with each video. My overall advice is to find something you like and focus on that. If you have any complexes, try to turn them into your advantages, your pluses. Don't be afraid of anything and don't be ashamed of your body - you are beautiful!

I'll talk about our personal shoots, because I don't have much experience in professional shoots. Preparation involves writing a script, often well in advance. We can go to a nearby town to buy any needed props and costumes. Sometimes, the idea for a video comes spontaneously right before the shoot. We’ll have to go to the location, bringing all our necessary equipment along with us. This is more than just cameras, as we’ve also got loads of lights, tripods, batteries, chargers, props, scenery and more. My partner and I set it up by ourselves, though it’s normally the work of 5 or 6 people.

My partner does the technical part. We try to shoot scenes from different angles. It takes a lot of time to shoot a comedy - it takes more time than a sex scene. Sometimes it takes a whole day to shoot one video.
We may arrive on location in the morning, shoot all day, and then the next day we need to shoot something extra, because something didn't work out from the day before when we reviewed it. We have disagreements sometimes. We just go to different rooms, take some deep breaths, calm down, and then go back to shooting. There are times when we get tired, and we’ll go to a cafe for a bite to eat or coffee. Then we pack everything up, go home, rest and start the editing process. Sometimes the shooting is very easy, while the postproduction edits are a more complicated process.

I would change society's attitude toward porn. Many people enjoy watching the top porn sites and do so regularly. Yet they don't accept it as a legitimate full-time job. They might not treat actors kindly, even though we're all regular people just like you, just with a different type of job than say, office workers.

I have a story. I went on a professional shoot and there were 2 or 3 days left of filming when I caught a cold. I had a high fever and a runny nose and was starting to cough. But my agent, even though I asked her to cancel the last shoot, really begged me to do the shoot. As it was my first experience, I was afraid that if I refused, I would never be invited back again. Or that they’ll think that I’m bad, irresponsible.

And because of this fear, I said yes. And in addition to the cold, I also started my period. We had a shoot with 3 girls and a boy. It was the trashiest shoot, because I was constantly running to the bathroom to blow my nose, to have a cough drop, to change sponges. But I had a lot of help from the partners on set. Everyone was very kind and considerate to me, including the director himself. He was initially outraged that I came to the set with a cold.... but understood when I explained that I’d been sent by my agent. I'm very grateful to all of those guys for supporting me. It was very hard for me at that point.

First of all, we would like to become professionals in our business. Because at this stage we’re still learning. And we’d like to work more with professional actors, actresses, venues, and directors. I believe that if you want to become a professional, you should learn from a professional.

I would love to star in premium studio porn productions, with fellow professional actors. And then to win XBiz and AVN awards. We'd like to set up our own production studio at some point. And offer help and advice to other models just starting out so that they’re comfortable and able to avoid the difficulties that many new porn performers face.
